Genuine Merrill P-40 Valve body. This valve body is made out of plastic. Fits The Merrill M2000 Yard Hydrant and The Wellpro WM2000 Yard Hydrant. The valve body is made to secure the hydrant to the plumbing. It also helps insure that the water drains from the pipe to prevent freezing. The total length of the valve body is approximately 3 1/2 inches. The inner diameter at the threads that connect the P-40 to the plumbing is approximately 1 inch. The inner diameter on the end that connects to the hydrant measures roughly 1 3/8 inches.
